Cannabinoid sample assessment : Concentrated or Diluted sample

Sample Assessment

Whether your sample has a low or high rate of cannabinoids, you can calculate a multiplication factor in order to be able to test low THC rate from hemp or high rate from concentrate. Just apply this simple rule based on the weight of your sample:

Multiplication factor = (100 mg x 2µl) / samples weight (mg) X extraction fluid (µl)

Concentrated samples (high cannabinoid concentration)

In case of high concentrate samples where you expect between 40% and 100% CBD for example you will take 40mg of samples with 1µl extraction fluid with the suitable capillary tube then:
Multiplication factor = (100 mg x 2ul) / 40 (mg) X 1 (µl) = 5
Then after spot calibration of the plate, if your chart shows 13% CBD multiply by 5, you will actually have 65% CBD in your sample.

Diluted samples (low cannabinoid concentration)

In a case of low concentrate samples where you expect between 0.1% and 5% THC for example, you will take 200mg of samples with 8µl extraction fluid with the suitable capillary tube, then :
Multiplication factor = (100 mg x 2ul) / 200 (mg) X 8 (µl) = 0.125
Then after spot calibration of the plate, if your chart shows 5% THC multiply by 0.125, you will actually have 0.6% THC in your sample.

How to measure the cannabinoid acid form ?

For exemple:  if you obtain 16% THC (LANE 1) and 5% THC (LANE 3), then  16% – 5% = 11% of THCA in your sample. .

How to measure the cannabinoid acid form ?

For exemple:  if you obtain 66% THC (LANE 1) and 15% THC (LANE 3), then  66% – 15% = 51% of THCA in your sample.
Concentrated sample: For accurate results make sure to use a high precision scale to weight a minimum of 1mg (0.001g).
Without you cannot guarantee the exact percentage of the results.

How to measure the cannabinoid acid form ?

For exemple:  if you obtain 1% THC (LANE 1) and 0,5% THC (LANE 3), then  1% – 0,5% = 0,5% of THCA in your sample.
