About CBD

Cannabidiol (CBD), is a cannabinoide found in the cannabis plant and is known for its therapeuthic uses. Its molecular configuration is similar to the THC one, but unlike the latter, CBD does not contain psychotropic effects, therefore it doesn’t cause any intoxication effect, dizziness or euphoria. Those are the characteristics assigned to THC and in a more common way, recreative use.

CBD oil is the extraction made from the cannabis plant. To obtain CBD oil, we simply use a cannabis plant with a low concentration of THC a high concentration of CBD.

Hemp produces a seed that is consumed all around the world as a beneficial and nutritive food. Those seeds have a full protein profile with high rates of calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and many fibers. CAREFUL, it is important to clarify misunderstandings; hemp oil is used in culinary preparations and does not contain any CBD or other cannabinoides, contrary to its cousin cannabis which is a medicinal panacea brim with a lot of cannabinoids like CBD, of which the extraction is made from.

CBD oil or other hemp products are considered to be food-based. As such, there are no restrictions on the production, sale and consumption of hemp oil. It is legal in most countries in the world as long is it contains low or in some countries untraceable concentration of the molecule THC. For example in France, it is completely legal as long as the THC concentration is under 0.2%.

No, even if CBD affects everyone differently, it is a non-psychoactive cannaboid, so it will not make the consumer high. Instead, it will help maintain a calmer and cleaner mind while also maintaining an active lifestyle.

Drug test screens are made to trace THC (delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol). Legal extracts like oil, cosmetics etc. do not contain enough THC to be detected by test screens even if the consumer is a daily user. Neither private labratories nor public authorities have established the legal limit of THC to 0, this would cause too many false-positive results. How ever, you should know that some studies have shown that eating foods containing hemp (seeds, oil, etc.) can cause positive results for THC, so do not hesitate to talk with whoever may be testing you for THC.

Some people can develop allergic reactions to CBD oil. As for pollen from trees, marijuana has pollen that can cause allergic reactions for some people, but both are not necessarily related. That’s why we recommend starting with small doses. This explains why it is so important to choose a high quality and reliable product. For example, a plant cultivated with pesticides could cause allergic reactions due to chemical substance. Also, the way of consuming cannabis can be a trigger to allergic reactions, when we smoke it, the heat and the burning changes the molecule’s composition of the plant which can affect its state, those modifications can also cause allergic reactions.

At Alpha-cat we guarantee very high-quality products, 100 % organic and certified vegan, without harmful additives or artificial chemical preservatives. The endocannabinoid system is where cannabis takes action in the human body. This system would be at the origin of homeostasis, the process that ensures the essential body functions and which is made of a combination between cellular receptors and molecules located in our body. This mechanism affects the essential body functions as hunger, appetite, digestion, pain, energy, sleep, motor functions, reproductive functions, pleasure and control of the body’s temperature. When the system is failing, some of those functions can be badly affected. There are at least two cannabinoid receptors in the main human body: CB1 and CB 2. CB1 receptors are mainly localized in the brain and the central nervous system, with CB2 receptors primarily in the immune system. Moreover, we also found endogenous cannabinoids in human beings (anandamine) which, like cannabinoids from cannabis, hook on to the receptors. The interaction of cannabinoid with these receptors found in the human body stimulates reactions which cause effects such as pain relief, muscle relaxation, anti-emetic and anti-inflammatory properties.
